We offer a full range of differing membership types to accomodate for your needs. The full list is explained below. See our PRICE LIST for our up to date membership fees.

Our standard membership type.

As a Full Member, you effectively become a "shareholder" in the assets of the club and you are entitled to a vote at the Annual General Meeting as well as being able to take a part in running the club if you wish to become a committee member. There is no restriction on the amount of flying you do. Simply turn up on a flying day, and fly as much as you wish!

Any member can also take advantage of special prices on our Holiday Courses which you can use to start or finish off your training or possibly to learn a specialised part of the training syllabus.

If you and your partner wish to join and learn to fly together, a generous concession is available to help cut the costs. You will both be eligible to all the benefits of Full Membership.

Junior membership is our concessionary membership rate to those under 21 years of age. This is a budget membership for those people who may not yet be earning enough to pay full membership rates.

Junior members are entitled to a special reduced flying rate! See our price list for details.

Junior membership means that you can fly as often as you wish and you have all the benefits of full membership apart from having a vote at General Meetings of The Club.

A concession is available for those persons that live more than 50 miles (in a direct line) away from Pocklington. This means that you can take advantage of cheaper membership to offset the higher costs of travelling to Pocklington, while still enjoying all the benefits of full membership.

Social Membership is available for those that do not wish to learn to glide, but would like to take a flight in a glider from time to time. With social membership, you are limited to five flights in any twelve month period.

A concession is available to our volunteer instructors to help offset the costs of gaining an instructor qualification.

To find out if gliding is for you, then simply come along for a day of trial flights. Click here for more details.
